These highly educated healthcare professionals care for patients in the inpatient antepartum unit, mother-baby post-partum rooms, regular nurseries, neonatal intensive care nursery, maternal-fetal medicine perinatal diagnostic unit, and in labor and delivery. A separate women’s inpatient unit is set aside for women experiencing medical problems or undergoing surgical procedures, including hysterectomy, gynecologic procedures, or breast surgery.
