Services included in Certificate of Need:
- 128 Inpatient Beds including: I.C.U., Medical/Surgical, and Obstetrics
- Six (6) Full Service Operating Rooms
- Four (4) Surgical Procedure Rooms
- Radiology
- Laboratory
- Cardiac Cath Lab
- Other Outpatient Services to be determined
(Note: Inpatient beds will be opened in phases while facility will be completely renovated)
- CERTIFICATE OF NEED ISSUES:
- Former PVH licensed for 291 beds – new facility licensed for 128 beds
- Reinhardt Commission Report:
- Reduce inpatient beds in Bergen/Passaic counties by 250
- Since report was released 700 beds have closed or have been taken out of service
- Restoration of 128 beds – well within Reinhardt Report recommendations
- New entity will have no debt
- No state dollars are being requested
- Satellite Emergency Department opened Wednesday, October 1, 2008
- Services include:
- 24/7 ER Services
- 2 Observation Beds
- 2 New CT Scan
- 2 Radiology Outpatient
- 2 Laboratory Outpatient
- 2 Ambulance transfer services from HUMC North campus to HUMC
- $4,000,000 in renovations, both interior and exterior to prepare for opening
- Pascack and Northern Valley Ambulance Squads educated on Satellite Emergency Department
