The staff members of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL) are dedicated to providing the highest quality of care possible in a patient-friendly setting. A cohesive team ensures a smooth continuum of services for those undergoing advanced invasive cardiology procedures.
As your experience leads you from the Cardiac Day Accommodation Room (CDAR) to the Cardiac Catheterization Lab and then on to either a specialized nursing unit for same-day recovery or inpatient admission, you can be assured that you will receive exceptional, compassionate care.
The CCL team includes skilled invasive cardiologists, registered nurses, cardiovascular technologists and monitor technicians. Every professional staff member of the department is certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and all nurses are certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Department members keep abreast of the most recent advances in the field through ongoing continuing education courses and staff development workshops. The professional staff is supported by dedicated patient transporters, housekeepers and clerical staff.
