Who can I purchase a gift for?
A gift may only be delivered to a patient hospitalized at the time that your order is processed. Your credit card will only be charged if we are able to deliver the gift to the patient in the hospital. Should we be unable to deliver your item, we will notify you by e-mail or by phone and you may follow-up with the patient. At this time we are unable to accommodate any mail orders.
Are there any Restrictions?
Yes, patients in Intensive Care Unit, Mobile Intensive Care Unit, Cardiac Care Unit, Stem Cell Transplantation Program or Renal Transplant Program cannot receive deliveries from the Corner Shop. Patients in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit can only receive a small number of balloons, and Pediatric oncology patients cannot receive flowers.
How soon will my order be processed?
All items are delivered within one business day. Orders submitted after 3:30 p.m. Eastern Time on Friday, and all day on Saturday or Sunday will be processed and delivered on Monday.
How do I purchase an item?
When you see an item you wish to purchase, simply click on "Add to Cart" and it will be added to your virtual shopping cart (If you change your mind, you will have an opportunity to remove any items before finalizing your purchase). Your transaction is processed through a secure environment. When you complete your order, please proceed to Checkout. Then enter the patient's name plus your payment information, the Corner Shop accepts Visa and Mastercard. At any time during the checkout process, should you wish to view your chosen items, simply click on "View Gift Cart." To return to Checkout, click on your "Back" button. You will again have a opportunity to review your complete order and will be able to make any necessary changes before completing your order.
How do I know you received my order?
You will receive an e-mail acknowledging our receipt of your order.
How will I know if the patient received the item(s)?
Through a second e-mail either we will confirm your gift has been delivered and your credit card has been charged, or that we were unable to deliver your order.
Do you have other items for sale?
Of course we do! If you're looking for a gift that's not listed, or if you have any questions concerning those offered, please call us at 201-996-2629. We are open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern Standard Time; or e-mail us at cornershop@humed.com (Regrettably, we are only able to reply to e-mails during our business hours, which are; Monday through Friday.) Our friendly staff will help you find just what you're looking for. We can accept your credit card information by phone and the item will be delivered to the patient in accordance with the guidelines described above.
